Award-winning playwright Greg Kotis will debut his latest work, The Unhappiness Plays, at Space 55 Theatre this January. Kotis is best known as the co-author of Urinetown: The Musical, for which he won Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score (shared with co-composer Mark Hollman) in 2001.
The Unhappiness Plays is a collection of scenes that comically explore the existential horror of the human experience. …Sartre suggested that Hell is other people; The Unhappiness Plays humorously asks whether Hell is perhaps ourselves.
Featuring: Elizabeth Athetis, Richard Briggs, Shawna Franks, Ryan Gaumont, Stacey Reed Hanlon, Michelle Kable, Steve Wilcox, and is directed by Bob Fisher.
